7 of 7 people found the following review helpful Dahon espresso, October 1, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dahon Espresso 18"(Medium) Folding Bike 26" Wheels (Misc.) This bike is great, it folds quickly in half and if you need it even smaller you can fold down the handlebars. It will fit in the back seats of most cars and can be carried anywhere. Overall this is a great product and I highly recommend it.
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Perfect for the Urban Biker, September 10, 2011 By RoscoePColtrane (NYC) - See all my reviews This review is from: Dahon Espresso 18"(Medium) Folding Bike 26" Wheels (Misc.) I live in a studio apartment in NYC and needed something compact. I didn't like the smaller foldable bikes that have small wheels and custom parts. This bike is a full size hybrid mountain bike so standard parts will fit without an issue. By looking at it you would never know it folds in half. The bike literally folds in 30 seconds by one single latch. It's built solid like a tank. I've had it for three months and have to say I've beat the hell out of it riding on the pothole pocked streets of NYC, and other than a tune-up, I haven't had a a problem. I wouldn't take it mountain biking, but for the Urban Biker/Commuter looking for a stylish, solid, relatively inexpensive bike, take it for a test drive. Guarantee you won't be disappointed.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Solid...but requires periodic adjustments, November 9, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dahon Espresso 18"(Medium) Folding Bike 26" Wheels (Misc.) I ordered this to ride to the train, and then bike to work from the station...and then vice versa. It is a solid ride...but if you order it from Amazon expect to get a tune up...the brakes needed to be adjusted and the wheels trued...which can cost an additional 75. It handles hills well as long as you adjust resistance and is very confortable for 5 mile straight. Tires are great...even though I recently got a flat out of nowhere..parts seem solid. Expect to adjust the brake clamps from time to time. It is a sizable fold as well, and weighs more than the smaller fold ups but you don't have to worry about feeling like you're breaking it...overall this is a well made bike for a "folder." P.S. Don't be too rough with it as it is primarily urban without shocks...I would even advise getting off when the sidewalk ends and meets the road...might've popped my tire that way. It can handle dirt paths but not good for potholes.
